A Little Bit More About CEF of Greater Cincinnati
Our charter was formed
on December 2, 1968. At the time of our charter Fern Hederstead was
the director. Our current director, Patricia Beatty, our only current
full-time worker, has served with us for more than 4 years.
We currently have
two After-School Good News Clubs and two
regular Good News Clubs. With 2005, we have begun an all-out push to
promote After-school Good News Clubs, and, to help promote this
ministry we will be conducting Children in CRISIS Conference September
16th-17th, 2005 (for details or how you can help
contact us).Our goal is to enable an
After-School Good News Club in every elementary school in the Greater
Cincinnati area, which includes Hamilton, Clermont, Butler and Warren
counties where there are over 290 schools.
Biography of Patricia
Beatty
Patricia has been
with Child Evangelism Fellowship for 34 years. Her ministry experience
includes:

Working at the
International Headquarters,

Responding to written
inquiries received in the CEF television department,

Working as a field
worker and local Ministry Director,

As a Director of
Training in Akron, Ohio and New York City, NY,
-
As a Leadership
Training Instructor for the Education Department,
-
And as a children’s
worker.
Patricia has much
experience in training teachers and working directly with children,
including inner city childrens work in New York City for 12 years. She
has taught as an instructor for the Child Evangelism Fellowship’s
Childrens Ministry Institute, the New York School of the Bible and in
two Moody Bible Institute extension schools. She is a graduate of
Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music, where she majored in Christian
Education. Patricia is also a graduate of the Children’s Ministry
Institute and has taken several other courses to enhance her teaching
ministry. At present Patricia is the local director for CEF of Greater
Cincinnati and a Leadership Training Instructor for the Education
Department at the International Headquarters. Patricia teaches
Teaching Children Effectively courses level 1 and level 2 (30 hour
courses) as an extension of the Children's Ministry Institute locally,
and instructor courses state wide. As a Leadership Training
Instructor, Patricia has a real burden to reach children for Christ
and train others how to do so as well, (2
Timothy 2:2).
